Poster of the Week #2

This magnificent poster by Drew Struzan is probably the best thing about the bizarre Italian "Hercules" flick from 1983. The movie opens with a vase flying through space. It is slightly suggested that the Gods are some sort of aliens, highly evolved cosmic creatures. Maybe due to budget issues the mythical creatures in this movie are mechanical beings, kinda like robots. It's a great idea, no matter how poor it is presented on screen. The stop-motion animated models are not really detailed and the action is campy, but still it's an interesting movie to see... And I can't stop thinking that if th movie looked like the poster it would be absolutely awesome and probably a sci-fi/fantasy classic.
